Here’s a list of the questions we hear most often in our offices. If you have any other questions for us, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We provide services from October to April. In October we only operate with groups and from November we begin to work with individual reservations.
As with any adventure sport, rafting involves a degree of risk on the part of the participant. That said, at Aguas Blancas, we make your safety our number one priority both on and off the river, from the first-class equipment we employ to our professional guides and strict controls, we do everything in our power to minimize the risk to our passengers.
Manso from Villegas: we recommend you bring a complete change of clothes, a towel, a swimsuit, shoes that can get wet (you are not allowed to go barefooted) and sunscreen.
Manso to the Frontier: you need to bring your ID or Passport, a change of underwear or a swimsuit to change, a towel and sunscreen.
Manso from Villegas trip: we raft 7km and according to the current of the river, this might take us between an hour and an hour and a half.
The Manso to the Frontier trip: is about 12 km long and takes around 2 hours.
We recommend that you have some previous experience if you choose the Manso to the Frontier trip (class III rapids) mostly to have an idea of what rafting is about, but it is not essential.
If you are unsure, the Manso From Villegas is great for beginners to get some experience in the sport and get comfortable enough to try our more daring adventures!
Although knowing how to swim is not a prerequisite for our Manso From Villegas trip, we recommend you have a good level of comfort with moving water for the Manso to the Frontier rafting trip, as there are higher chances of making a premature exit from the raft. In case of accidentally falling into the river, it is important not to panic in order to follow the guide’s instructions or receive the assistance of the safety kayakist.
